I came across this short video which however is quite effective in its message.
Two columns joined together can form a bridge to successful e-learning : the column of management consisting of vision, criteria and support joined to the column of design consisting of motivation, content and interactivity.
Well, saying "Six Simple Steps" is perhaps just summing it up. Behind each keyword is a galaxy of issues.
Now, we have been focussing on the educator/learner dimension so far. However, we have kept more or less quiet on the issue of the Management. E-learning cannot happen in an educational institution without the blessing of the Management. No use starting something like this if the Management are not ready to support e-learning and pull their own weight in the process.
What I especially like about this short clip is the mention of VISION. Yes, this is an important ingredient to any learning, especially something as relatively new such as the Net. Instead of looking at the Net as a potential learning tool, they may see it as threat to well-established ways of doing things.
I also like the keyword SUPPORT - how on earth can e-learning be successful without the support of the management? I call it the management/educator/learner triangle....

Do you agree that it`s that simple?
